Caroline grew up an only child, going to school and coming home to her mother and father, though her home life certainly was not a good one. Her parents were constantly concerned of her mental state, and ever since she was little she had been in and out of different doctors as her parently essentually searched for something in her to be wrong, which made more wrong than there ever was to begin with.
Her father blamed her mother, and had Caroline sitting up at night while the sounds of shouting and fighting echoed through her house until the day the police finaly came and took her father away for domestic abuse.
With that, her and her mother packed up their things and moved to South Carolina.

Caroline, wanting to get away from it all, saw the opportunity when a ship was getting ready to sail for Chernarus to lend a hand with the relief effort in the region, boarded by many members of the Red Cross.
She snuck out one day and volunteered for the relief effort, and with that she got a free ride out of there.
The Outbreak
When the ship arrived, Caroline quickly slipped away from the rest of the group and headed into the mainland, soon discovering first hand just how bad things actually were in the country.
With the mass rioting and infection quickly spreading, she found it to be best to slip away from what was left of society in the country until the nation went dark.
